A Kid With A Dream
See one day this kid had a dream that he thought was cool as hell. This kid isn't an ordinary kid. He's smart and nice and people liked him because he kept it real and was never about bullcrap. You would figure the kid had it made. Raised outside of the ghetto by parents who wanted a better life for him. They showed him unconditional love and always upheld their promises and not once ever put him down or discouraged. That kid grew up to be a brilliant adult. Always tried to remain optimistic and always smiled. Was always down to make his friends laugh. Kid sounds perfect, right? Well you're wrong because he had his flaws too. Like most kids his type, he was bullied and made fun of. Laughed at and was told he really wouldn't be crap. With the problems, kid was lead to having anger issues. With anger issues came attitude and with attitude, you won't make it far in life. But the kid had a dream. Out of the kindness of his heart, he wanted to be there for EVERYONE. Strangers, family, friends...he wanted to be known as the kid that cared. This kid's dream was to open a family center. Not just any family center. A center where any and every family or kids or anybody in general could come in and feel at home. Play games, make new friends, hang out, relax, study, maybe enjoy a drink or some food here and there. A place where people could come in and just not care about anything at all. He wanted it to be big enough to where he could have one on every side of town; north, south, east, and west. But slowly but surely the kid's dream died out as times changed. Things weren't the same anymore and nobody wanted to do a thing about those changes. Secrets about the government being unveiled, people panicking over the ending days, prices fluctuating every hour just one big mess time has turned the world into. So now this kid, with this dream, is heartbroken. But he hasn't given up yet because he is still always there for people and down for a lot of things. But he finds it harder and harder as time progresses. So to the Lord God Almighty, this kid is praying that he can continue a smaller dream of being there for everyone whether people find it to ne negative or positive. What people fail to realize that we take people like this kid for granted. We used to want the attention and the love and the thought of knowing someone cared. Somewhere along the lines, however, that has changed. The world would be a much better place if we all took the time to care for one another and not worry about stupid and senseless foolery. We should better ourselves as a generation because our kids are learning and it's not gonna get better if we keep bein ignorant in our ways.
But what do I know? I'm just a kid with a dream.
But what do I know? I'm just a kid with a dream.
